It's fair to say that I don't exactly have much experience with MIG welding, BUT it's also fair to say that I am always game to have a go at everything when it comes to working on my cars.
I recently dived into waving my new MIG welder at the rear end of 'Heidi' my hearing aid beige Mk2 Escort and it went eeeerm???? TRAGICALLY!! 🙁
It was the first time I'd ever tried to 'butt weld' a repair patch and it will DEFO be the last!!
The result is that the rust holes have now been filled with metal! ✅
BUT the area is going to need a TON of fibreglass filler to make it look good! ❌
On the bright side I have LOADS of experience with fibreglass filler! 😃
